You come across a young boy with a yellow rat who is playing with some hypnocrabs. When you get closer, he says to you: "Hi, I'm Bash, and I'm a monster trainer. If you want, I can train and teach new tricks to one of your pets. Also, I can give you this hypnocrab. His name is Oculy. He is still young, but he is very friendly." Do you want Bash to train one of your pets?

After a while, and after a few lessons from Bash, your pet becomes stronger. • Before you leave, Bash gives you a few magic shards and says goodbye to Oculy.[sic] • You get: Shards 200 and XP 44 • (Hero receives corrupted version of their pet.)
