At an Upgrade Altar — free and unlimited in every Town, and offered by some events — any Class Card can be upgraded from its basic white version to a Blue or Yellow version, two different improvements. You pick one and can later transform a card between its Blue and Yellow forms; the cost is Shards based on the card's rarity. The Altar only works on Class Cards (not unique starting cards, Boons or Enchantments) and it cannot create Corrupted cards. In this codex a card page shows its Blue, Yellow and (corrupted) Purple versions side by side. See also: Corruption.
