In Act 1, take the southern path to "The Scared Pigman" node at the Isolated Chapel.
Ottis is in the church and offers you the choice of fighting Yogger on his behalf — take it.
Head north to the Bandit Camp "Fresh Meat" node and defeat Yogger. Ottis unlocks.

Passive · Shielder — applying Shield charges heals for 30% of that amount (shielding IS healing).

Spam Shield on allies to heal them passively, then pivot into Holy damage when things are safe. Truly do-it-all.

Thuls — Ottis's Dilute + The Polluter convert Thuls's Poison into Poison+Wet for burst, on top of dispels and shields. [6]
