Crossing the rift was a harder toll than you thought, but you quickly regain consciousness. When you open your eyes, you see that a soldier from the nearby camp approaches you and says: "You must be the backup group! Perfect, the vanguard has already entered the volcano, led by the king's advisor Amelia and Chancellor Cornelius of the Burning Hand. You must not waste any more time. You must enter through the tunnel and reach them to help quell the Obsidian Uprising."

(Soldier) "You know... the dwarves have begun a conquest of Velkarath, they are building war machines with obsidian from the volcano and a new energy source. We have come here to stop them... aren't you here for that?" The solder looks at you confused and you, after hearing that, look around and realize that the rift has taken you to the past, specifically to the Velkarath of 30 years ago. Although you are somewhat stunned by this fact, you agree to enter the tunnel towards the volcano, before more soldiers arrive and you attract more attention. You get: XP 32

At that time, I was studying some dwarven engineering books in the Black Forge, when the dwarven uprising happened and I was kicked out of there. I joined Amelia's group to help her and, in the process, pick up those books. I have the feeling that we were destined to come to the past, I still can't confirm it... but the way events happened, it could be that...
