When you are about to reach young Amelia and escape the forge, a rift appears between your party and her. This portal is like the one that brought you here. You can't waste this opportunity to go back to the present and without thinking twice, you cross the rift. Just before going back to your time, you are able to see how the explosions and lava engulf the Black Forge. That is how your adventure in the past ends.
