The stuck elevator

You reach the elevator leading to the next floor of the dwarven city, but it is stopped on the floor above you. You try to call it up using a small lever, but unfortunately, it doesn't work. After examining the lever, you realize that the mechanism is missing a small gear, and without it there is no way to bring it down from the floor above. Your only chance to get to the next floor is to climb up the elevator chain.

Even so, I suggested to Amelia that hopefully we would delay a possible dwarven ambush from the rear and give us some time to complete our mission and pick up my study books on the way."
