🔑 How to unlock Grukli
Not unlocked by default — recruit him through an in-game quest.
- Check the Small Lake node on the first map (The Kingdom of Senenthia). It must have the Common event "Fishing Contest", not the Epic one — a purple glow means it's the wrong event, and you'd need a different seed.
- At Small Lake: Fishing Contest, select [Fishing] or [Pay]. (Succeeding at [Fishing] starts a fight with two werewolves.)
- Win, and a Big Fish is added to your bag.
- At the end of Act 1 or Act 2, take the Green Portal to The Aquarfall Marsh.
- Go to the Waterfall Ledge node and its "Hungry Dwarf" event.
- [Give] the fish to Grukli. He unlocks as a starting party member for all future runs.
How to play
Slow starter, huge finisher. Survive the first turns, then stacked Fury turns his attacks into massive hits. A damage-only Warrior, not a tank.

Needs a partner who handles turn-1 threats (a tank or an AoE nuker) while he ramps. Rewards longer boss fights over quick trash clears.
